Past Coursework

This video shows myself and my young friend completing a WAIT assessment for my Master of Education course – Assessment of Exceptionalities. The total video is 1.5 hours long so this is just a small capture of the work we did that day!

Throughout my Master of Education degree, I was able to develop a philosophy of teaching that has continued to evolve as I have learned and understood more about teaching and learning. Here are some of my artifacts of learning that show my continued development!

Counselling-Final-Essay

In this essay, I assessed my own skills as a counsellor. This is one of the things that I wrote that now resonates with me deeply: “I also feel that I am now more careful of what I say and who I say it to, I am painfully aware of how fragile people can be.  I do understand how strong and resilient we are, but I do not want someone to go home and think about something that I said in a negative way.  I strive to be a positive impact on people’s lives, a beacon of happiness and strength.  This does not mean that I am afraid to show when I am sad or upset, because I know that those are very valuable emotions as well.”

This course gave me the space to reflect on my counselling skills and on how I interact with others.
