I have linked the BC Curriculum here for my own future use. It is the backbone of everything that I will be doing in the classroom. The newest iteration of the curriculum has a large focus on competencies and less on content. I think that is hugely beneficial. We are living in a time where every individual can find out anything that they want to know in seconds, but we need to teach students the skills of how to find that information and how to search out credible sources. The Core Competencies of communication, thinking, and personal and social skills are vital parts of the curriculum. They are the essential parts of what every child needs to learn.
